St David's Day Parade
Students from Years 8 and 9 had an excellent time at the Flint St David’s day parade on the 27th of February. Learners carried a flag and sang Welsh songs while representing the school. Students from schools all across Flint were in attendance.
These learners represented the school brilliantly and have been able to share their excellent experience with their peers.

Welsh in the workplace
As part of their Welsh lessons, Year 9 had a visit from five local employers who shared their experience of using Welsh in the workplace. Learners received presentations from the NHS, Wynne Construction, Grwp cynefin and Menter Iaith.
Pupils displayed excellent engagement in the sessions and have developed a better understanding on the use of Welsh in the real world.

Cymraeg Campus

The Criw Cymraeg is a group of students from Year 7 and 8 that meet on a half termly basis on a Friday Lunch time with Miss Aldridge to discuss all issues Cymraeg across the school. The group are working hard to achieve the bronze Cymraeg Campus award through Siarter Iaith.
Students are working hard to raise the profile of Welsh and are creating displays that can be used by all staff.
