The Student Council consists of 12 students. They are elected by the Year Group Forums to act as a representative group of students to discuss issues of importance and contribute to the development and improvement of the school. Meetings are attended by two representatives from each Year Group Forum, two Sixth Form Ambassador and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The agenda can include items brought forward from Year Group Forums and Sixth Form Ambassador meetings. The work of the Student Council includes:
Year Group Forums have an elected representative from each Tutor Group. The agenda is set by students, but items can also be suggested by teachers. The purpose of the Year Group Forum is for student discussion and to put forward positive proposals for the Student Council to consider. Members of the Year Group Forums are asked to represent the views of their Tutor Group and keep them informed on the work of the Student Council. |
