You will not be sitting examinations this summer.
Due to COVID, this year will be different. We are required, as per WJEC guidelines, to look at evidence holistically by drawing on assessment activities and NEA work completed since the beginning of your GCSE, AS or A2 course.
The final grade will not be decided by one assessed piece of work. We will instead be issuing Centre Determined Grades (CDGs) that will be based on evidence mapped to grade descriptors and assessment frameworks for each subject set by the WJEC.
At every stage of this process your assessed work will be moderated and standardised within subject area in order to ensure a robust quality assurance process.
As part of this process, we have introduced a new tracker card that shows you the breadth of assessment evidence that we have.
